2019 WINNERS of the Brothers/Harris Scholarship Fund include:
Karley Thompson is the granddaughter of Rob Petry of Columbus Finance. Karley graduated from Newnan High School in 2019 with a 3.217 GPA, where she was a member of the History Club. She also has volunteered with her church and participated in clean-up services with groups from her school. She has been accepted to Georgia Southern University to study in Health Science.
Reagan Gowen is the granddaughter of Don Gowen (retired ACFA Executive Director). Reagan graduated from Decatur Heritage in 2019 with a 3.97 GPA, where she was involved with Key Club, Ambassadors Club, National Honor Society, and Cheer. She is also a member of SHFT Students which is her church youth group. She has been accepted to the University of Alabama and will be starting in August to study in Communications.
Anthony (Gage) Altman is related to Carie Satterwhite who works with Loan South Finance. Gage graduated Smiths Station High School in 2018 with a 3.0 GPA. He has completed his first year at University of South Alabama with a 3.32 GPA, where he is studying in Sports Management. In addition, Gage made the Dean’s List his first year.
Gary (Trey) Chapman III is the son of Gary Chapman II with Local Finance. Trey received his 1 st year scholarship with us last year and used it to help complete his freshman year at Troy University. He completed his first year with a 3.9 GPA. He is a member of the Troy University Marching Band and was nominated Freshman of the Year for the band! In addition to attending college, he works two part time jobs. He is continuing to study in Music Education.
